7 Tips to Boost Metabolism: Reset Your Internal Chem Lab
Posted on 06 January 2012
One size fits all dieting fails 98% of the time.
I've got 3 options that work, that have helped thousands of my patients lose pounds and keep 'em off over the past 10 years.
One is the genotype-appropriate food plan
. Eating how you were meant to eat based on your genes. No more guessing. But don't take my word for it... Stanford University showed that in a rigorous study that overweight subjects who ate a genotype-appropriate food plan lost 2.5X the weight of those who followed a standard-issue diet.
See, the problem is that old-school diets make you weight loss resistant. More specifically, they make you fat-loss resistant. And if you have Irish/Polish/Peasant stock like me, well... I could easily survive a famine with how my body loves to hang onto fat. Perhaps you've noticed that it's getting harder to lose weight as you age. And then there's the spare floaty that shows up around 40. Add a bit of hormonal chaos such as estrogen dominance that begins at age 35 or so, and you've got the Perimenopausal Perfect Storm.
Fat loss resistance is very common among my concierge integrative medicine patients. Turn the ship around. Ideally do it before age 40 so that your skin has more collagen and doesn't sag from the weight loss.
